5B Day 2...Pompeii

We had a great time today in the shadow of Vesuvius! With a little imagination, we were like the ancients themselves, playing in the amphitheatre, acting onstage in the theatre, living the life of the wealthy in a beautiful domus, and of course, shopping along the Via della Abbondanza.

We are looking forward to another exciting day tomorrow as we head to Herculaneum, then home!

5B Day 1...The Ascent

We did it! There were passing clouds, but we went up to the top of Vesuvius.

We had a very interesting guide and learned all kinds of great facts!

We worked on our activity books on the summit of Mt. Vesuvius and ate our lunches there as well.

We saw lots of interesting things and took lots of pictures!
