5C Climbs Vesuvius!

Hi all!
Well we made it! After a long journey from Rome we finally climbed the Ancient Mt Vesuvius. Unfortunately the weather was TERRIBLE!! We could hardly see 1 metre in front of us! Not many of our photos were good for the internet unfortunately, because there was just too much fog and mist! However, after about 30minutes the skies cleared and we had a fantastic view of the crater, the bay of Naples and Napoli! We were very lucky! Here is one of the good photos we managed to get. Tomorrow we are hoping for more good weather as we head to Pompeii.

On Wednesday, March 25th, we climbed to the top of Mt. Vesuvius.

We ate lunch before starting on the hike.

We were joined by a second guide

a hike around the rim to the other side.
